Glenna Bowman was very excited to meet Bob Martin on March 9, 2018, at the Commercial Theater Institute (CTI) Three-Day Intensive in New York City. 

Anyone who knows Glenna knows her favorite musical is "The Drowsy Chaperone," which had its Broadway premier at the Marquis Theatre on April 3, 2006, and ran through December 30, 2007.  Bob Martin and Don McKellar co-wrote the book for this ridiculously charming musical comedy, and Bob starred in the initial Broadway run with Sutton Foster, Beth Leavel and Georgia Engel.  Bob plays a character known only as "The Man in the Chair" who simply LOVES musical theater and the way it "takes him to another world and ... gives him a little tune to sing when he's feeling ... you know, ... blue."  :)

Now Bob Martin is part of the creative team developing a new musical, "The Sting," based on the film originally starring Robert Redford and Paul Newman.  Bob as the bookwriter, is partnered with Tony award winning composer/lyricist team Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis ("Urinetown, The Musical") to bring this Hollywoord classic to life on the stage. The show will debut at the Paper Mill Playhouse on March 29th.  Paper Mill Playhouse is a regional theater with approximately 1200 seats, located in Millburn, New Jersey.

                   Bob Martin and Glenna Bowman
