Miss Emily Villarreal, who recently played Suri in SoundBeacon Entertainment's "Esther, A New Musical," can now be seen in the newest addition to the “Texas History Musicals” series, Red Scare, a musical comedy that explores 1950s witch-hunt hysteria. Created by John Cecil and Texas Comedies.

Also appearing in the show are Creighton Moench (who played Haman in "Esther") and Kristin DeGroot (who we met when we worked with Miriam Relyea on her original musical, "Called By Name."

Here are the final two members of our cast, who are certainly not least in our eyes!  Phil Rodriguez plays King Xerxes' steadfast bodyguard, Harbona, with the perfect balance of sensibility and humor.  Bennett Neiman plays Mordecai's Jewish friend, Tamir, with authenticity and charm, and brings other characters to life with equal aplomb as part of the Ensemble.

Living the Dream

Megan Rabuse and Glenna Bowman - "Living the Dream" at Evil Snail Studios, recording new tracks from "Esther, A New Musical."  Studio owner and audio engineer, Kfir Gov, is well known for his expert skill.  He's also one of the nicest guys around.  So much fun!

The image with this post is the control board that produces the sound recording.  The viewing monitor shows the audio waves for the vocalists and instruments.  It is an amazing process to go from raw tracks to fully produced music!

Bowie High School's slogan boasts its "Pride in Performance." This pride is evident in three Bowie High students who are part of the technical team for CALLED BY NAME (Sept 21-23 at Austin Oaks Church).

Matthew Bosnyak provides lighting design, assisted by Julia Cabrera.  Lauren Collins is Assistant Director. According to Director, Glenna Bowman, "all three students are very talented and resourceful. We are lucky to have them on our production team."
