Laura Freeman and Michele' Crowder play two very different roles in "Esther, A New Musical" (Feb 10, 2018, ZACH Theatre, Kleberg Stage). Laura plays Zeresh, the wife of the villainous Haman. Zeresh is as scheming as her husband, but loves all things that sparkle and shine! Michele also loves things that shine, but, as a member of the Ensemble, she plays roles that are sweet and fun, like one of the Hindush Girls who dances at the king's big celebration.
LAURA FREEMAN is a song-writer and two-time Best of Fest honoree at Austin's Fronterafest. She has written two musicals, both of which were produced at Austin Scottish Rite Theater. She has also written puppet shows which are performed in schools and libraries throughout the Southwest. She has three CDs of music for children and a new recording that is due out in May 2018.
MICHELE' CROWDER studied music at Texas Lutheran University and has appeared in theatre productions in Austin, Killeen and San Antonio. Past roles include Arista-Mersister (The Little Mermaid), Aida (Aida the Musical), and Alice (Big River the Musical).
Both of these ladies bring a wealth of talent to "Esther, A New Musical" and we are excited to have them in the show!
