Matthew Edwardsen is King David

At 6'1", with light brown hair and  engaging blue eyes, Matthew Edwardsen commands the stage as King David in Miriam Relyea's "CALLED BY NAME." (Sept 21, 22 & 23 at Austin Oaks Church, 4220 Monterey Oaks Blvd, Austin, TX).

Trained at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, Matthew has performed with the New York Lyric Opera at Lincoln Center, Opera Santa Barbara, and Center Stage Opera in Los Angeles, to name a few.  His theatre experience is as diverse as it is impressive, including roles in "HMS Pinafore," "The Pirates of Penzance,"  "Next to Normal,' "My Fair Lady," "Grease," and "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown."

Matthew's finely-honed baritenor vocals beautifully communicate a rainbow of emotions from low, heart-wrenching grief to soaring, unmitigated joy.

FUN FACT: Matthew is a juggler.  (But he won't be showing off those skills in "CALLED BY NAME." :) )
