Glenna Bowman will direct an original musical by Austin-based composer and lyricist Miriam Relyea at Austin Oaks Church, September 21 - 23, 2017. 

CALLED BY NAME tells the story of Mephibosheth, the forgotten lame son of Jonathan, son of Israel’s first King, Saul. Told with warmth and humor, it is a story of love and redemption - and a consistently mispronounced name. The performance is being presented in partnership with God of Hope Ministries, an organization that provides Christian care and discipleship to men and women incarcerated in Austin and the Central Texas area.
